THE SITUATION.
The over 100-year old railway spanning the Albula and Bernina is a showpiece of railway pioneering. Since 2008, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our task was to position the Rhaetian Railway as the best means of transportation for hikers, to simplify the planning of trails and increase the desire to take trips.
THE IDEA.
Instead of the usual TV commercial, we created Webhiking - a digital experience to really walk through nature along the railway.
The Results.
Within the first month 110,000 unique visitors with an average visit duration of 7.45 minutes enjoyed the online hiking experience. Returning „hikers“ spent 17.30 minutes on the site per session.
